February 2018

Apologies to those of you who receive the prompt in your inbox for any confusion with the email this month; set it down to lack of sleep and a busy week! The stories included were of course the January stories, and what follows is the February prompt.

If you don’t receive the monthly prompt in your inbox yet, you can sign up here.

And now for the prompt:

Write about someone who is learning to do something. Are they creating something? Mastering an academic skill? Taking something apart? Helping someone?

Try to pick something you’re unfamiliar with − do a bit of research into something you’ve wanted to try before. Focus on how the character is feeling, struggling or not; or think about the implications of who is teaching them.
